I have a question about two Steam achievements that seem impossible to get. I’m talking about Resistance is Not Futile and Johnny 5 is Alive!.
The former seems impossible because… well, how are you supposed to block even one attack? Flame swords penetrate shields (not that you’d get one as a Ninja), pperks don’t work, and head-on collisions also kill you.
The latter just doesn’t unlock for some reason, even though I’ve blocked a meltdown several times with the persistent shield.
I believe that blocking a meltdown is either killing a player right before they’re about to detonate or having the shield mega perk and surviving a detonation. I could be wrong though.
I have blocked an opponents meltdown a few times using the shield mega perk but I did not get the achievement so far (as you can see in my sig ). My guess is you need to block a max-energy meltdown, or it’s just a bit bugged. Same for “You Have 5 Seconds To Comply”, been trying to get that one for a while now, but seems rather demanding in the details. “I Did Not Murder Him!” seems to be suffering from the same problem - maybe a problem with registering max energy?
Yeah, I believe that some of the achievements registration is either a bit bugged, or conditional upon how many players are actually in the game so it feels really random at times when you do earn one. Other conditions like you having to be attacking or targeting the opponent melting down might need to be met or some other ridiculous combination. It would be nice to have a neat explanation for what the actual conditions for some of these tricky/bugged achievements are.
You have 5 Seconds to Comply work.
You have to explode in reality 7 seconds before the end of time.
But the Achievement :
Resistance is Not Futile is bugged.
We can’t use the shield in botzilla mod, and when we buy the shield (50 stars) we can’t use the perk in botzilla.
It’s impossible to do that..
And according to some guy on the Steam forums, neither does You Have 5 Seconds To Comply.
The “I Did Not Murder Him” achievement seems to be contingent upon there being at least one other player present. The same way that stars don’t spawn unless there is more than one actual human connected. Actually, all of the achievements probably require that more than one actual person is connected, otherwise people could just achievement boost in a private server all by themselves. Any developers want to confirm this?
