Persistent Perks are perks that are yours forever.

To buy persistent perks,
Join game
Enter Pick Perks Tab (located at the top)
Buy Perks that you can afford with stars collected in-game
Choose your perks with a click.  (It’s not drag and drop)
To change perks click on your chosen perk and it will clear it, and change it with whatever you like.

If this is unclear please post below and I will update my instructions.

Hi, am new to the game, don’t have enough stars yet (though it _looks_ like, in the buy/choose perks screen that I have shield for free), anyways, how exactly does one _use_ persistent perks? In the controls screen, the pperks keys are set to D1 D2 and D3 (which are not key names that I’m familiar with, so give a hint? Thanks)

Oh, okay, thanks. I’ve never seen the number row number keys referred to that way before.

While clicking around in the Perk Menu I unselected my shield, and now it looks like I have to pay for it. Why is this?

I think there is a display bug which makes it look like you start with the shield perk, when you actually don’t.

You haven’t lost anything, since you haven’t yet bought anything!
