Was having a fit of boredom the other day, so I was scouring Steam for something interesting and saw Plain Sight, which had previously caught my eye as something interesting. I mean, robot ninjas? How can you not love that? So I took the plunge, and with little to no research, threw $10 USD at you fine gentlemen. Luckily for you *finger wag*, your game is amusing as all hell and I’ve been thoroughly enjoying it, even if there are not very many people playing most of the time. Now, I’ve only played a few matches online, so most of my experience has been via bots on Hard and Medium difficulties, but I had a couple of thoughts that I figured I could mull about.
-It needs to be advertised more. While not falling under the general category of game I would drop $30-60 USD on, Plain Sight has by far been one of the best small purchases I’ve made on Steam, and the quality of play is fantastic. Kudos to you gentlemen. The word just needs to get out more. I for one am part of a small gaming community and will be posting a short review over there to get some of those goons to join me. Hopefully you schmucks with all the brains over here have some ideas of your own.
-Taking from the above, have you guys looked into a free weekend? From what I’ve seen, that tends to attract players from all over the place. It might help you out a bit.
-I was wondering if any additional visuals would be added for robot upgrades. Maybe slightly snazzier robot legs for jumping, a different shaped color trail for speed, etc etc. Nothing really important, just an idle thought that crossed my mind.
-If you guys ever get around to putting together a community map editor (once you get populated), I think that could go a long ways in knitting everyone together. Mod communities are always some of the best.
I’ll add more if I think of stuff, but just figured I would post and let my wandering mind go places.
