After a week of feverish work we’re chuffed to announce that the 1.0.1.0 patch is up. It’s a big one, so here’s what’s new:

New Content

- A new pirate-tastic map! Space Ships!
- 2 new achievements! “Proud Of Yourself, Little Man?” and “Tempers are wearing thin. Let’s hope some robot doesn’t kill everybody.”

Other stuff

- Dedicated servers have been updated to allow for multiple servers running on the same machine. Administrators can now allocate IP’s. Game now runs on multiple ports. See ports.txt for more information.
- Fix for Intel and NVIDIA 7xxx graphics cards
- Numerous crash bugs (including XML issues) fixed.

Brilliant!!

I assume you mean dedicated servers can allocate PORTS not IP’s :D
Lanops Server will be updated in the next couple of hours, I will probably just put 1 server up for each game mode :D fault for work is just kicking my ass right now so need to get this sorted first :(

Nop, according to Lawrence, IP’s ... if you’re uber hardcore, you can do that as well as ports smile dont ask me how….

All dedicated servers have already auto updated !

Yeah if you have multiple IP’s bound to an interface it’s not a problem… just kind of pointless if you can do ports.
As it is you can do both so it’s academic :D just writing configs for servers 2 - 5.
Is this new map “Little Bang”?

Is there a way to specify a dediconfig to launch with a certain server?  Or would it be best just to have several installs for each server?
Also where can I find ports.txt ?  I’m not seeing it in my install.

weird! must not have been included with the update :S

I’ll get Lawrence to post its contents on the forum tomorrow smile

As for multiple server, yes, you’ll have to run different installes. The port range is now 24816 to 24832 (this is off the top of my head… Lawrence will have to correct me if I’m wrong when he gets in tomorrow!)

Thanks, at the bottom of the dedicated server readme I found the information.  Will it be possible to specify the port or IP for the server to run on via the command line?
I also submitted a major problem I’m having right now under Tech support.
I’m going to go ahead and see how many dedicated servers I can get up.

I get an error and the program crashes when trying to launch more than one server, even with the port changed in the config file.

0 Connecting to master server(s)...
0 New master server connection status: AwaitingChallenge
574 New master server connection status: Authenticated
1991 Sending hole punch to 93.47.114.67:24816

Is what my log says.

You can specify the port for the game using the following command line argument

+set_port:12345

Didn’t see it as necessary for the dedicated to have command line setting, since you can just edit the dediconfig.txt

Patch 1.0.1.0 reset my keymappings. Not a big a deal to change them back, unless it was unintended. If it was intended - or unavoidable - a mention in the patch notes might be informative.
