Announcing Plain Sight
-----
After eight months of hard work, we’re proud to announce our first game – Plain Sight.
All the information you can ever want (including a trailer, development blog and beta sign-up) can be found at www.plainsightgame.com
To commemorate this, Declan Shalvey has kindly drawn yet another fantastic piece for the website. Thanks Declan !
Anyway, we hope you like what we've done so far - we can't wait for everyone to start playing!

It’s about time for an update...
-----
You’ve probably notice that this site has been somewhat neglected.
Many apologies for that, however the wait is worthwhile - in the next week or so we’ll be announcing the game.
We're currently having a blast playing the game in the office and we're very keen to have people playing it as soon as possible.
For this reason we’ve decided to have an open beta within a month or so after the launch. This means that you’ll be able to play the game, for free, very soon.
So, hold your horses just a little longer – we’re nearly there

new website, new people
-----
Firstly, you’ll see the website has been given a facelift. Comic book artist extraordinaire, Declan Shalvey, is to thank for the illustration.
In other ‘art’ news: our lead artist, and one of the founding members of Beatnik Games, Alex Best has unfortunately moved onto pastures new. After months of fighting, screaming and kicking 3d Studio Max he decided that fine art ( you know, the stuff with pencils and pens) is more his cup of tea.
A true artist! We wish him all the best!
Filling his shoes is Sam Jacobs an old school friend of Alex (and Hin’s). He’ll start once he gets back from gallivanting around Japan.
Finally, after a week of sheer terror/panic, we managed to hit our alpha deadline last month. Once we get the networking finished we’ll announce the game and open it up to beta testing.

a slight delay
-----
A few snippets of news:
Firstly, Alex Ashby has joined our programming "department" (effectively doubling its size).
Secondly, we’ll be announcing the game (website, forums, alpha test etc) toward the end of July
Until then we'll be sleeping in the office.....
Not dead
(just working hard..)
-----
We’ll soon be announcing the game we’re working on.
We’re keeping details pretty scarce however here's few snippets of information:
1) It’s multiplayer and it’s written in XNA 2.0 (therefore PC / Xbox360 compatible) and..
2) Stylistically, we’re a far cry from the usual Xbox Live happy colour-vomit fest (think bleach bypass film noir..)
When we’re ready a game specific site will be launched along with a development blog and forms.(I’ll also get round to tarting up this site at bit...)
We’ll be looking for Alpha testers for both the PC port and the Xbox 360 port (XNA subscription required). If you’re keen email us at testers AT beatnikgames.co.uk
